Tender Notice:  SOUTH AFRICAN NATIONAL ROADS AGENCY SOC LIMITED CONTRACT SANRAL N.003-020-2017/8/ENV  FOR ENVIRONMENTAL SUBSERVICES FOR THE UPGRADE TO NATIONAL ROUTE 3 SECTION 2 BETWEEN CATO RIDGE (KM 20,2) AND DARDANELLES (KM 26,6) T1.1     TENDER NOTICE AND INVITATION TO TENDER (Incorporating SBD1) CLOSING DATE (AT 11:00) FRIDAY, 06 NOVEMBER 2020 The closing time and date for receipt of tenders is 11:00 on Friday, 06 November 2020. The address for submission of tender documents is: The Regional Manager (Eastern Region) The South African National Roads Agency SOC Ltd 58 Van Eck Place Mkondeni Pietermaritzburg 3204 Tel: (033) 392 8100          Fax: (033) 386 3365 Nyeleti Consulting invites tenders on behalf of the Applicant, the South African National Roads Agency SOC limited, for the Subservice of managing the environmental process  along the R103 link road and monitoring environmental compliance during construction for the Upgrade to National Route 3 Section 2 between Cato Ridge (Km 20,2) and Dardanelles (Km 26,6), and the adjacent road network.  The upgrade to the N3 also involves the upgrade of an existing section of the R103 between Camperdown and Cato Ridge at Camperdown. This project is in the province of KwaZulu-Natal and in the district municipality uMgungundlovu. The approximate programme for environmental monitoring is for construction to commence by January 2021, followed by construction monitoring of 51 (fifty-one) months. The process of environmental approval on the R103 link road shall commence at the award of this tender and shall be completed within 10 (ten) months. Preferences are offered to tenderers who comply with the criteria stated in the Tender Data. The Applicant is committed to transformation, employment equity and staff advancement, and to supporting black economic empowerment. Only tenderers with a B-BBEE contributor status level of 1 or 2 are eligible to tender. Joint Ventures (JV) will be allowed on condition that 1 (one) JV partner is a Targeted Enterprise. Only tenderers whose Key Person/s have at least eight (8) years of practical post graduate experience as an environmental assessment practitioner are eligible to submit tenders. It will be an advantage for the tenderer to be registered with the Environmental Division of the South African Council of Natural Science Professions (SACNASP) and/ or any other recognised environmental professional body. Tenderers must submit, via email, the duly completed Form A1.1 Certificate of Intention to Submit a Tender within seven (7) days from the date the tender is advertised. Failure to submit this certificate would result in the tenderer not receiving addenda or additional issued information and may result in the tenderer being non-responsive. TENDERER’S MEETING No tenderers’ clarification meeting will be held. COMPLETION AND DELIVERY OF TENDERS The closing time for receipt of tenders is 11:00 on Friday 06 November 2020.
